THE SUSTAINABILITY TEAM FOR ACTION AND RETURN (STAR) PROJECT IS LAUNCHED

STAR will Deliver Business Value Through Enterprise-Wide Document Strategies

SAN FRANCISCO, and RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- ALL Associates Group, The Jensen Group, and The Natural Step have partnered to create the STAR Project. STAR shifts companies toward more sustainable practices, creating models and tools at the forefront of document management.

The humble document is the source of some of the biggest costs, worst environmental nightmares and major productivity handicaps. However, through effective document management practices, it can become a predictable competitive advantage.

Last year office documents cost Fortune 1000 companies over $220 billion: more than $7,500 per employee! And waste is endemic ...

The STAR project combines sustainability, financial modeling, document management, and change management expertise to:

  • improve corporate performance and economic efficiency
  • reduce environmental waste
  • improve employee morale and productivity

STAR is actively seeking the participation of companies committed to sustainability. In collaboration with these companies, STAR will identify the links between document management, economic success and sustainability.

"The STAR Project tackles one of the untouched inefficiencies in corporate America" said Jim Hurst, Chairman of ALL Associates Group. "STAR blends our expertise to expose the issues, estimate impacts, create solutions, and implements them within a sustainability framework for competitive advantage. ""This is an exciting project to be involved in", stated Catherine Gray, President of The Natural Step. "It's where the rubber hits the road on sustainability, moving from principles to practice - vision to action".

About STAR

The STAR Project is a unique initiative that addresses the growing problem of uncontrolled office document "sprawl" and the need to find practical business processes to "operationalize" sustainability goals. Companies participating in the STAR project will benefit through (i) predictable reductions in costs and environmental impact, (ii) reductions in stress and productivity-blockages on employees and (iii) lessened risks and heightened brand equity.

The partnership consists of:

ALL Associates Group (www.allassociates.com) assists organizations to remove uncontrolled costs, starting with and then going beyond the print and document world.

The Jensen Group (www.simplerwork.com) unleashes the existing talent and creativity that companies already have to compete in today's crazy markets by helping incorporate simplicity.

The Natural Step (www.naturalstep.org) guides companies and communities onto an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable path.
