San Francisco, CA, September 24, 2003. INFORUM, a division of Commonwealth Club for members who are under 35, will celebrate the ideas and individuals that are ushering in the next century at “NEXT: An Evening of Visions and Revelations” on September 24. The evening will feature music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a brief ceremony hosted by INFORUM president Amy Gershoni and award-winning filmmaker and Webbys founder Tiffany Shlain, honoring the local harbingers of NEXT, including Dave Eggers, author and founder of 826 Valencia, and Catherine Gray, president of The Natural Step.

“We have so much to celebrate,” said director Nicole Grant. “INFORUM launched in February of 2002 and is now a 2000 member forum. We want to channel the buzz around INFORUM and highlight some of the local young individuals who are shaping the future.”

The City Club was selected as the venue for this event to serve as a symbolic reflection of the evolving richness and diversity of San Francisco's people, their talent, achievements, and sense of community. The renowned Mexican artist Diego Rivera celebrated these qualities in his magnificent mural entitled “Riches of California,” which serves as the centerpiece of the private club.

The event takes place at The City Club at 155 Sansome Street, 10th Floor in San Francisco from 6:30 until 10 p.m., including a brief ceremony at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members and can be purchased at www.commonwealthclub.org/INFORUM.
